if SEC coaches would preach discipline, they'd have 6 teams in the top 10. but they don't, so you get these fabulous atheletes playing ridiculous games like this one were watching here.

 

I'm not so sure. These guys are pretty fast and over pursue so you need some misdirection. Look what happened to Michigans great defense when Ohio State opened it up.

Bill Simmons' latest column was right with regards to modern attitudes of announcers. These guys act like we're watching the game for them rather than for the game itself. There are some times these guys should clam up. My personal favorite is when they start crying about a penalty and the replay shows it was completely justified...so they either have to stand by it and look like tools or go back on it and equally look like tools.

 

My personal favorite moment of that was when Sean Taylor spit on some one last year in the NFL playoffs and got ejected, only it was not clear at first that he hocked a loogy at the guy. Of course, Paul Maguire and Joe Theismann were going ape over him getting kicked out, talking over the ref who explained why he kicked Taylor out, and missing out on the explanation altogether.

 

Good times, good times.

Honestly I see all 3 teams as having something different to offer. I simply do not understand why people dismiss Louisville. They lost 5 games in the last 3 years.

Honestly I see all 3 teams as having something different to offer. I simply do not understand why people dismiss Louisville. They lost 5 games in the last 3 years.

 

When everyone else understands, but you don't, what does that tell you?

That I'm in Big 10 land. The polls determine way too much and assume too much. Tradition gets the nod every time in college football. Every time.

 

Also, when I here the Big East sucks it just means that you don't understand football. I've been going by the actual games while you are going with the traditional arguement. Trust me, you guys are happier with the system the way it is because it's in your favor. The PAC 10 has the same problems and that's why USC has to schedule all those tough teams out of conference.
