Good to see Navy will win - in honor of this, I'll post a picture of some of the people who were supposed to spell out "GO NAVY" but intermingled in an unfortunate manner:

Also, was Reggie Ball really the best QB that Ga Tech could offer the past four years. His completion went down every year and was a wretched 45% this year, and his career QB rating is around 105, which sucks in the college formula. He was 15-55 passing the past two weeks!!! I've picked against Ga Tech in pretty much every difficult game they've had this year, solely because it would be Reggie Ball against a tough defense. Tech really is lucky to have him gone next year.

Either USC isn't as good as they looked in the ND game or ND wasn't as good as they looked in the UCLA game.

If USC wins, they will get destroyed by OSU.

Go UCLA and Go Florida!

I'm all for saying ND just isn't that good.

Our opponents sure seem to want people to think that based on the crapfests that GT and USC are submitting.

Maybe it's just true. ND barely beat a horrible Michigan State. They've been beated by the only good opponents. I just don't see anything to justify ND being all that good. Georgia Tech is the only decent team they've played, and GT is no great shakes.

I'm not even going to dignify Michigan State. You and everyone else know the Spartans played better in the first 3 quarters of that game than most teams have played all year. It's not our fault JLS can't coach a team with a big lead, nor can he recover from a tough loss.

GT I'll give you, that was a rough performance for ND, but everyone else was playing I-AA teams that week so it's hard to hate on them too much for it.

Maybe Michigan State looked so well is because ND just isn't that good.

Maybe, but I seriously doubt it. Moo did this in 2005 too, remember - play out of their heads against ND and crap out the rest of the season.

The man makes a good point. MSU did play one of their two best games (or parts of games) of the year against ND - the other was the NW comeback. If I had to guess, I would say it was a little bit of both MSU playing better against ND and ND not being as good as expected.

Well I'm glad I didn't listen to the SIU game on the radio. Our season came to an end as we lost 20-3. But get this--our QB threw only FOUR passes in three quarters. Absolutely disgusting. We deserved to lose that game with crappy playcalling like that. We probably have the best RB in all of I-AA in the backfield, but you can not have playcalling that one-sided and expect to win a game.

sigh...

Michigan State was a bad football team. They had the ability to move the ball on offense but rarely did. Their defense was terrible. And it took Michigan State to go out of their way to turn the ball over for ND to win it.

I figured UCLA would be in it at half time, but they're much closer than I expected. I'm more shocked that the offense scored a touchdown.

We're going to get blown out in the second half. :(

Really? UCLA's d looks pretty solid. For that to happen they would have to collapse like a house of cards.

Im ready for them to get a turnover. lotsa pressure on booty could cause that.

Right. If MSU wasn't such a terrible team, they beat ND and ND has three loses and aren't even in the BCS picture. ND isn't a great team. They may not be a terrible team, but they aren't the 12th best team in the country either.

They wear down a lot - they did against ND, they did against Oregon, they did it against WSU. Time of possesion is key.

I'm not saying ND is a great team. But MSU played much better against ND than they did in virtually every other game and they did the same thing last year as well. MSU should have won that game, but they didn't.

And if JLS had any ability to rebound from a tough loss at all and MSU had played even close to that well in future games, they'd have won at least three more games and been a strong bowl team.

But then again, the devil's in the if's.
