so does anyone know the official rule about going out of bounds, because in the NFL it is only a penalty if you are the first one to touch the ball after coming back in bounds.

Belotti trying to challenge the challenge. hilarious.

Haha, if Florida, ND and USC lose again, Michigan could lose to OSU and not have to worry..

only if Arkansas loses.

not necessarily. Arkansas will be 7th, maybe 6th at the end of this week. a loss to OSU doesn't necessarily dip UM below 5 (actually they wouldn't dip below 4 because USC would need to lose next week too in order for his scenerio to play out). you have to remember it is Michigan we are talking about. different rules apply for certain teams. so Arkansas doesn't move ahead of them.

Only took 16 minutes to review it 2 times and get the call. Sheesh...a 16-minute stoppage!

Do you know why Dixon is out and Leaf is in? I was away on the phone.

but he said and not have to worry - I think they would have to worry.

With the meaningful games all decided, here's how I would vote this week:

1. OSU

2. Michigan

3. USC

4. Notre Dame

5. Arkansas

6. Florida

7. Rutgers

8. Louisville

9. WVU

10. LSU

11. Texas

12 Auburn

13. Wisconsin

14. Cal

15. Wake Forest

16. Oklahoma

17. Boise St.

18. Maryland

19. Boston College

20. Tennessee

21. Virginia Tech

22. BYU

23. Georgia Tech

24. Nebraska

25. Hawaii

The actual rankings will, of course, be nothing like this.

If Arkansas wins out - which would include a SEC championship game victory - I think they would pass Michigan.

Tommy Tubberville you can shut up now. Thanks for playin.

How can you not put Rutgers #3. The one loss teams just have not been impressive. Some of them have been winning by the skin of their teeth (USC, Florida).

Rutgers won it's first impressive game this week. If they knock off West Virginia, I'll have no problem putting them top 5.

What are Florida's claims to fame? They lost to a 2 loss Auburn and beat a 3 loss Tennesse and 2 loss LSU.

All of which would likely beat all the top three Big East teams pretty easily (maybe Auburn wouldn't since they're so inconsistent).

Seriously, man, I like the Big East too, but you're getting a tad carried away.

They've had some other 'decent' wins too. I dont have problems putting one loss teams ahead of an undefeated teams but the one loss teams just arent either winning games decisively or their schedule has some holes in them. Arkansas is probably the 3rd best team playing 'right now' but you cant discount their 50-14 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. College football is hard to compare schedules because there are 100+ teams. Therefore i weigh head to head significantly regardless of when/where the game was played.

Its hard putting Rutgers and USC in front of them but its not fair to either one of those if you dont. Im not putting USC as #3 because of that crappy loss and amazingly close victories, so Rutgers gets $3 right now.

I dont like florida but if they play a 1 loss Arkansas team and beat them they should jump everybody and be in the NCG. Arkansas needs USC to lose though. I have Rutgers #3 right now but they can be jumped by USC, Florida, and Arkansas. Those are the 4 teams looking at the winner of the OSU/UM game, everybody else is just looking in.

If both Florida and USC wins out it will be hard to tell which one gets the #2 spot. Rutgers won't have as many impressive victories as either of these teams and is the #5 team at the end of the year.

Do they have to divide that up among the whole team?

Yeah, even if you put the Big East teams at #23-#25 it should still be Rutgers, Louisville, and WVU in that order.

At least this one has Rutgers over WVU but they have Louisville behind WVU. Plus, Arkansas over Notre Dame. I LOVE IT!!

Posted

They both have West Virginia ahead of Lousiville. :?

Maybe its a Big East consiparcy so when Rutgers beats WVU it looks more impressive or when WVU beats Rutgers they dont have as far to jump and it wont be as noticed by the big time programs.
