Aramis only costs money. ARod will cost us talent, either at the ML level and/or prospects as well as money.

 

ARod isn't that much better than Aramis that we need to go giving away players just to make our fanbase happy.

Even apart from that, I believe there is a rule that you can't trade a player signed as a free agent until June, even if it's re-signing your own free agent (unless that rule changed in the new CBA).
