Geez, talk about a stinker of a week.

There is one terriffic matchup (Cinci vs. Carolina), a couple of decent matchups (Pittsburgh vs. Atlanta, San Diego vs. KC - which is only good because its in KC, NYG vs. Dallas - ok probably a better matchup then the last 2) and then the rest are pretty much stinkers. AND no Bears game. Gonna be a long week.

I may get to see Carolina play yet again thanks to Indy being at a different time and the Cincy market being close to here coupled with the fact that it's the showcase game. I don't think I've ever gotten to watch consecutive Carolina nonplayoff games before so that'd be freaking sweet...

Now you guys know how I felt this week. Even though the Packers suck, it does suck not being able to watch them for a week during the NFL season. Definitely one of the longest weeks of the year.

Pack take on Miami next week, a somewhat winnable game. Just plz don't let Joey Harrington look like Dan Marino, kthx.

The first thing I look for when schedules come out is the bye week and I dread it every time. 2 weeks without seeing your team play when there is no baseball or basketball going on is brutal. The bye week between the regular season and the playoff game last year was pure tortue and took my mind out of football mode.

Bye weeks in the NFL aren't too terrible...it's when Notre Dame is off that I just get bored out of my mind. I spent all day yesterday watching other games wishing ND was playing. At least in the NFL you can still follow fantasy players.

Yeah, and then you get like I had this weekend with a double bye week. ND was off yesterday, the Colts were off today-a whole weekend where my football teams don't even appear once. It has been a strange weekend.

Good point, I got Michigan/Iowa to keep me company Saturday. But Bears games are like an all week thing for me, reading about game strategy and slowly getting more and pumped for the game. Chatter really dies on message boards on bye weeks and slowly gets started back up that next week. Oh well, time to get it over with...at least the first week is a short week :)

Same here. All the buildup to each game really makes my weeks go quickly. Having a game tomorrow night will help a smidge, but generally this week is going to suck.

I'm picking a big week for the road teams next week. (Sorry ndistops, Carolina isn't one of them.) I think San Diego will be convincing in their win over KC. The hardest games to pick I think are Carolina/Cincy, AZ/Oakland (yawn), and Minn/Seattle. The Bears are off though, so there are no no-brainer picks this week either though. (Except for maybe Jets/Lions.)

This is a week I'm worried about. With a little bit of unluck, the Raiders might actually win this week. GO CARDINALS!!

It's okay, I'm sure the Raiders have it in them to pull out the loss. If the Cubs were able to come back and snatch last place from the Pirates, the Raiders should have no trouble. I just picked the Cardinals because I'm planning on Matt Leinart having something to prove after getting embarrassed the week before :D

How can the return of Steve Hutchinson to Seattle not make the week somewhat interesting. After all the "poison pill" stuff this offseason, this game should be highly entertaining and therefore not on in my area

But he's not TO, why would anyone care?? ;)

Go Cowboys! Big game this week!

Do you think the cowboys are good?

They have the weapons, but with the current offensive line, I'm skeptical.

They've won the games people thought they would win and lost the ones everyone thought they would lose. They're a half game behind the division lead, so they have a shot.

They've allowed the fewest points as anyone in the division, so they have that going for them. Monday night at home against the Giants will be a telling sign.

They have to protect Bledsoe. If they do that, they can win. If not, the chances aren't that good. I think the Cowboys defense can pressure Manning into some mistakes. The offense will need to capitalize.

Ferguson could be done for the year with the Packers with a foot injury. And Koren Robinson was just suspended by the NFL for one year.

Yay, I actually thought we'd win this week, but we'll be lucky to win two more games now this season.

What a joke. Our 3rd receiver is going to be some practice squad player that no one has ever heard of. And Thompson completely missed the boat on trading for Jerry Porter. What an idiot.

Quite a bit of a receivers' success depends on the quarterback. If Favre does well the rest of the year, the Packers could end up having a star receiver who started the year on the practice squad and took a rare opportunity to make it big. A good game by Leinart last night made a star out of Boldin.

The Colts have traded a 2nd round pick for Booger McFarland of TB. Does anybody know if he has gas left in the tank?

Probably enough to suffice for you guys.
