Illinois goes on a nice run in the final 4 minutes of the first half and ties the game at 34 at halftime.

#3 Kansas is trailing Oral Roberts, 39-34 at half.

Did I read right Chester actually made a three?

Just looking ahead to their huge matchup with Ball State 9 days from today. :D

In all seriousness, BSU's probably got a better shot at Kansas than the other good team we play this month (Georgetown), just because the Jayhawks don't have Roy Hibbert at center. In fact their big men are definitely not their strong point, looking at their roster.

Look harder Darrell Arthur is awesome. Darnell Jackson is no slouch either.

Illinois now leads 52-43 at the media timeout with under 12 to play.

As Raisin mentioned, Kansas is now down by 11 to ORU!

Self has his team tourny ready already.

Wasn't Oral Roberts though the 16 team last year that gave Memphis a game for quite a while and was expected to do that? The ones called before the game as the greatest 16 seed in tourney history and given a chance to beat Memphis? I don't know how many players they had returning, but they were a pretty good team-it will be an upset, but it's nothing like Wisconsin losing to North Dakota State last year, for example.

Still, an unranked team, AT #3 Kansas, one of the toughest places in college basketball to play? That's more than just an upset.

NIU allows 69 points against a Division III school, but wins 84-69. Looks like the defense for the Huskies is once again going to be their downfall this year...

Illinois up 61-50 with a little under 7 to play.

Nobody ever gave me an answer, whta happened to Randle?

High ankle sprain, out a couple weeks I think.

I thought that was Jamar Smith. Or are they all wearing low-tops now.

You're right. Nothing happened to Randle I'm guessing then.

Illinois tacks on some in garbage time for a 76-55 final. Encouraging stats from Calvin Brock putting up 14 points on 6-9 from the field (2-2 from 3)

Frazirer and Meachum both played the entire game, and Brock and Carter got little rest.
