That's the anti-Dusty move. Instead of bringing in some crappy middle reliever, go with your best bullpen pitcher when your season is on the line.

I'm not sure which idiot announcer said it (wasn't Lou) but one of them said that the A's are going to lose this series because "they don't have speed on the team and they can't play small ball." It doesn't matter if you have a bunch of track stars on the team. When you get two freaking hits against Kenny Rogers, you aren't going to win many games. ARGH!!!

 

Meanwhile the Tigers pitcher has thrown 12 straight balls.
