If the Cubs do not win in 2007, everyone has some great audio clips to e-mail the front office.

 

That appears to be exactly the plan. This is the Tribco saying cutting off the figurative head of the cubs, and saying "Do or die" to Hendry. McDone-uh isn't going to be here very long and he knows that, win or lose.

 

Basically, it means we might very easily see an extension for Baker, no manager wants to come into an environment for one year only, with huge expectations.

I think Chris Spier wouldn't be a bad choice to be a 1 year manager in this kind of situation.

Obviously because McDonough has the "interim" tag he can be replaced at any point. I don't think that he has a year or any length of time attributed to him. If Sandy Alderson and Kevin Towers were available after the playoffs, the Cubs would be stupid to pass.

I don't know you can give a guy one year to install a plan that should take 3 years and say he was terrible.
