These people can't complain if this team is contracted. While Garland is scattering 12 runs against the Indians these fans decide to not go and support their team. I can't wait to see them pump it up to 25K when they're in the playoffs.

Simply amazing...Why does it seem the orgnazations with the worst fan support win?

I don't know, it is very frustrating. The Marlins, Braves, Twins and possibly the A's win and the fans seem apathetic year after year.

If you want your team to win, stop going to the games?

yep. if you go to the games you are pretty much supporting mediocrity.

that was a fun thread.

YES IT WAS. A GRAND TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!!!!

Without alot of cash disposal they are forced to think outside the box to

become competitive. They usually hire young GM's who are willing

to buy into some pieces of "sabermetrics" and other non-traditional baseball

philsophies.

If I lived in Minnesota, during the summer when the weather is nice, the last thing I would want to do in the summer is go and sit inside a dome for 3+ hours.

I travel often to Minneapolis on business. This is no lie: twice have I ventured over to the Metrodome, and both times someone has handed me free tickets out of frustration trying to sell them.

I spent a year in Minneapolis, it was the coldest winter I ever spent. I can't fault folks for not going inside when their summer will be a ice covered memory. Anyway, they are probably waiting for the playoffs and the new ballpark. The contraction talk in the first post is silly.

maybe baseball is easier to play in silence? (i suppose kc discredits this, though)

Considering everything that KC has gone through since the '80s, I think they have relatively good fan support.
