White Sox Website Message Board Makes News

Since it's an MLB-sponsored board, it's very loosely moderated. Anything bad usually has to be brought to the mods attention before action is taken.

As it stands, I went over for a look and never felt dirtier. These are the types of amoral mouthbreathers that give rational Sox fans a bad name. Besides their rants against all things Muslim, here is a quote from a thread entitled "CUBS TROLLS" (all caps not mine):

Get it through your fat heads...

You never were any good, you never WILL be any good, and you never will win a world series. Stew on that for a while.

The Sox will always be better than the cubs. You doormats of the baseball world!

It's things like this that make me even more grateful for the community that's been set up for us here. A safe haven in the sea of rank stupidity.

I remember back in 03 I went to a Bourbon Street(night club on the south side of Chicago) to watch game 1 of the NLCS.

I couldn't believe the amount of Sox fans there rooting against the Cubs.

Simply wishing the worst for them.

I was like what the hell? Isn't this about Chicago.

No doubt. Solid place for Bears games as well.

I assume you root for the White Sox? There's nothing wrong with having a few teams you actively hate.

Hell yeah I rooted for the White Sox in the last World Series.

It was great for the city of chicago.

I have alot of friends who are Sox fans and even though there is your

usual back and forth banter, I was happy they got to experience the joy of a world series.

Sadly, I'll never see it. Need to go get my bottle of Jack Daniels, brb.

What's the point of going to a bar to watch a game with a team you hate on TV? I mean I wouldn't go somewhere to watch a Cardinals, Pistons, or Viqueens game to waste money and root for a team to lose when my team isn't even in that game.

Considering their White Sox fans perhaps they were going to be there anyway.

Well, it was the NLCS, and the buzz was in the air. Nothing wrong to go to a bar to watch a playoff game in a major league sport.

You are a better man than I. I have a lot of friends & co-workers who are Sox fans, and I was happy for them last year. Just like I was happy for the Cards fans I know when they won the pennant in 04.

But no matter how much I like my friends, there's no way in heck I'm rooting for either team in the WS.
