I hate the cobs.

Even though I'm not sure Girardi is best for the Cubs (I'd still take him), and even though he already was basically fired once, if they win the wild card, is there any way they would fire him? They'll keep him on, even if Loria hates his guts.

The 3 year contract doesn't help that cause.

The Marlins are the anti-cubs. Luckiest team ever.

I wish that was luck, but they have collected ALOT of legit talent.

Sanchez and Ramirez were the Red Sox top two prospects in many eyes. Nolasco was HUGELY underrated by the Cubs orginization.

Not only that but guys like Willingham, Olsen, Hermida, Uggla were some highly touted prospects. Not to mention Willis and Cabrera.

I'm jealous of the young talent on that team. Olsen is Scott Kazmir lite, Sanchez showed some nasty stuff today, Ramirez is one of the most exciting young SSs in the league...and so on.

Nolasco will settle in as a back of the rotation guy, imo. His peripherals are not impressive.

I think Ricky's peripheral stats will improve (and so will he) and come closer to his minor league numbers (excluding the AAA attempt in 2004) in the next few years.

I agree. 4 no hitters and 2 world titles in 11 seasons. For the Cubs, 0 world titles in 98 years and no no hitters for like 30 years. I HATE the Marlins
1972, to be exact. The last was Milt Pappas' should-have-been perfect game late in the season (Burt Hooton had one early the same year). Four no-hitters between 1969 and 1972 (2 by Ken Holtzman in addition to Hooton and Pappas), none since.

On the brighter side, the Cubs haven't been the victim of a no-no since Sandy Koufax's perfect game in 1965.

A solid 12,000 showed up to watch the no-hitter and the Marlins change of the Wild Card

Nice job, Florida fans

They are a bunch of garbage fans.

The only way to get that place even 1/2 full would be to allow the

sale of drugs, and plastic surgery inside the stadium.

Yeah but about a million of them will say they were there!
