I always, always suck in the early season, then always figure things out and end up slightly above .500 for the season. I don't really get it.

 

It's much harder to tell what teams are good early in the season. I imagine most people follow the same trend you do.

I usually do the same thing as well and I'll agree with Banedon on the reason why.

I'll run a YTD for anyone that wants to play ATS on here also. We'll have to find a website for universal lines so everyone would play on the same playing field.

 

I looked at the results and I have myself at 5-9 right now and not 4-10. I bolded the games I got correct. If I missed something, please correct me. And I would be in favor of getting universal lines each week. It doesn't matter where it's from as long as we are all basing our picks off of the same spreads.

 

Miami (+1)

TAMPA BAY (-3)

New Orleans (+3)

CAROLINA (-5)

Seattle (-6.5)

Philadelphia (-5.5)

TENNESSEE (-2.5)

Cincinnati (+2.5)

Denver (-4)

NEW ENGLAND (-9)

Dallas (+2.5)

Chicago (-3.5)

ARIZONA (-7.5)

Indianapolis (-3.5)

Minnesota (+4.5)

San Diego (-3)

I'm going to look over mine again. I don't think that record is right. Be careful in adding the spreads to the final scores to make sure.

 

Aftet tonight's games, I'll look over my predictions to double check.

Mine are correct per Yahoo.

I just got major goosebumps seeing all those US flags being waved when the Redskins entered.

 

Yeah, it was cool to see the fans waving all of those flags.

And the Panthers lost their starting LT for the season. This could be pretty bad for them.

Travelle Wharton sucks and single-handedly tried to get Delhomme killed in the first Bears game and the NFC title game.

 

And I'm so used to Carolina seasons being submarined by injuries that it's hard to be surprised. This would make three seasons in a row that preseason title hopes have been dashed by a spate of injuries.

That's a little harsh don't you think? I will say that he was terrible during the regular season against the Bears but the protection in the playoffs was amazing for Delhomme.

Delhomme had so many fumbles last season caused by getting hit from his blind side that it was embarrassing. Heck, it happened 2 more times in the Atlanta game.

Shawne Merriman now has 3 sacks on the night and the Chargers have 7 as a team.

 

Aaron Brooks has looked like, well, Aaron Brooks for you guys. Oakland's D has been great in the 2nd half, but the Raiders O-line can't handle the Chargers pass rush.

They haven't decided yet but it will probably be Geoff Hangartner, after a failed attempt at putting Wahle there yesterday. Dan Morgan out indefinitely with his 5 billionth concussion, Smith hardly a lock to play in week 2...it's happening all over again.
