The reverse pennant race - the chase for the 2007 #1 pick

I was at my parents for a couple days - come back and the Cubs have picked up all kinds of ground. I'm eliminating the Nationals from the list. They're right in the thick of things and then tank their way to a 5 game winning streak. Amateurs.

 

And, WHY did we give up on Neifi?? He could be our ace base clogger, dude. We'd be the favorite if we could get him back. Pull a Dickie Noles & trade him for himself.

I'll assume you mean you think Santana should have won the 2005 Cy Young because Bartolo Colon is the defending AL Cy Young winner. Santana won the award in 2004.

Actually, as of right now rooting against the Cubs is a good thing. I for one would love to have a 1st overall pick instead of a 6th overall pick. That being said, rooting for them right now will not get you into the playoffs. So here's to the Cubs losing every game this season.
