Cubbies can overtake the 3 spot tonight with a L. KC and TB are also in action.

KC and TB will have a tough time winning tonight. TB is already down 3-0 to the Twins, facing the defending AL Cy Young winner (who might be the 2006 winner as well). KC has a guy with an ERA pushing 8, going against Mike Mussina. The Cubs really need to find a way to lose tonight.

I think that the wins and losses should be flipped in this race like this

Kansas City Royals: 88-52

Tampa Bay Devil Rays: 84-55

Chicago Cubs: 83-55

GO CUBS!

I'll assume you mean you think Santana should have won the 2005 Cy Young because Bartolo Colon is the defending AL Cy Young winner. Santana won the award in 2004.

Dead last in the NL. It sure took longer than expected.

We need KC to get extremely hot, and Dusty continue to manage the way he has. If both happens, #1 pick here we come.

I hope we lose 1-0 on a lazy flyball to center where Pierre drops a line drive off his glove, falls down, and the ball rolls to the 400 foot sign. Duffy turns it into a four base error and we are graced with loads of Dusty excuses on why Pierre couldn't make the play.

Actually, as of right now rooting against the Cubs is a good thing. I for one would love to have a 1st overall pick instead of a 6th overall pick. That being said, rooting for them right now will not get you into the playoffs. So here's to the Cubs losing every game this season.

Cubs (56-83)

J. Pierre CF

F. Bynum 2B

A. Ramirez 3B

J. Jones RF

A. Pagan LF

S. Moore 1B

H. Blanco C

R. Cedeno SS

S. Marshall P

Give Dusty credit, he saw that the Pirates were starting a crappy pitcher, so he countered with an equally bad lineup. For all his mistakes, at least he was able to recognize that today's game is a must-lose.

< Scott Moore, will never start again after his "performance" today

Yeah, Scott Moore is not a team player. He's all about himself. He knows what the Cubs' are going for but he still tries to get hits and home runs.
At least his wasn't a grand slam like Lee hit last night. The Cubs were able to overcome it and retake 3rd place.

True "All About Me" Lee rightfully sat today, but somehow talked himself into the game and got a hit, what a jerk.
