So are we witnessing the coming of age for Rich Hill? He has been stringing together some good outings and looks VERY GOOD today. It would be great to have a couple solid lefty starters between Hill and Marshall.

I'm pissed off after that interview. That's just a crock of horseplop.

I don't expect anything less when they do these in-game interviews.

Injuries, injuries, injuries. The grand excuse to cover up for consistently flawed managing.

For those of us not watching, can you elaborate?

Rich Hill throwing a good ballgame.

Mateo threw well last night.

Dustbag can't fault his rookie pitchers this weekend..though I'm sure he will.

Well, he didn't exactly fault Mateo last night. In fact, he was very complimentary of Mateo's pitching after the game.

Dusty is carefully laying the groundwork for his martyrdom. After Hendry and Baker mutually agree to part ways, you can expect it will be played up big with the cooperation of sympathetic mediots.

I bet that killed him too...complimenting a young pitcher.

Probably had to brush his teeth aftewards.

What a shame. The Cubs with some help from the rookie pitchers have held the Cards to 2 earned runs in 13 innings in the series thus far but it looks like both games will be losses.
