Now what did he do?

 

Took the trainer with him so he could talk to Carpenter at first base. There was zero indication there was anything close to wrong with him, even McCarver picked up on the ploy.

I'll take Ausmus b/c of the OBP differential. Ausmus also catches a good game. Ronny is an error making machine.

Carpenter is being taken out of the game now by the trainer. Seems like La Russa was being quite honest.....unless he's just trying to save face.

Why would LaRussa bat the .132 Carpenter and then pull him before pitching the next half inning. It doesn't have anything to do with Rosental. :?

I still can't believe more hasn't been made of that. If I were a Braves fan, the mere mention of that incident would cause me to go flying into a fit of rage.

Why would he send him to the mound the next inning? Why wouldn't he pinch run with him, especially when he's the go ahead run?
