6 matches and no draws.

And only one game with a one goal difference. And that would have been 3-0 had officials not botched two offside calls.

That was nice. Really quick counter attack by England.

Loving the pace of this WC so far.

Yep. Over 3.5 goals per game so far after about 2.3 the last two World Cups.

92% passing for Italy = England wilting under the heat. Run more, fellas.

England looked drained the last 15-20 minutes.

England completed 91% of their passes

But I think it was 150 less passes.

the number of comebacks so far has been amazing.

I think I saw that four teams have com from behind to win in eight games compared with three teams in 64 games in the 2010 Cup.

I thought England was extremely unlucky to not tie that game. They had chances; they finished and executed very poorly in the final third. Rooney has no excuse for not burying that shot in the 2nd half.

Likewise, I think Ivory Coast were really lucky that Japan (mostly Honda) blew numerous chances to score their 2nd. I'm amazingly unimpressed with CIV.

Today might be a boring day; Switzerland sucks, and Ecuador is boring. Honduras is probably going to get crushed, and so is Bosnia.

Yeah, today's matchups arent great. Hopefully there's at least one good game from the bunch.

The only one that has the potential to be interesting is the Argentina/Bosnia game.

Oh well; this is what happens when the first 3 days have so many great matchups; with the Swiss being a weak seed, we were bound to have a boring one at some point.

Wow.

Big assist to the ref for smartly playing advantage after a nearly bookable foul in transition.

So much for my (and many others) theory that the SA teams would dominate group play. Is Colombia the only one that won convincingly in their first match?
