It's tough because Brad Evans and he are everything the other is not. Evans bleeds for the team, fits in anywhere, brings it every day and works his ass off. He's just too slow to hang in this GoD.

Yeah, Evans was a good soldier, but got through the Hex on luck and grit. Every time someone with pace attacked that side it was panic time.

I want Yedlin to play his way on to the plane somehow.

It won't be like NFL preseason in that good players will get bigger minutes than just a few series, but they definitely will be going at preseason effort/speed.

I wouldn't go to that game. If I were you, I'd save the money and check out a Chicago Fire game vs a good team like Seattle, Salt Lake, New York etc or wait for one of the big European clubs to come around.

... where I expect Arsenal to choke.

They didn't in the end, but it was close.

Also, kudos to Atletico Madrid for coming back and holding on at Nou Camp.

The kid Juventus keep making offers for, Erik Palmer-Brown, just gave up a penalty and earned two yellows in his SKC debut vs Chicago. Yikes.

He was pretty bad. Composed on the ball, but read the game like you'd expect a 17 year old to do.

USS and other MLS heads: Who is the better prospect, Diego Fagundez or Luis Gil?

NE moved Andrew Farrell to center back and I feel pretty confident saying that is extremely bad news for Omar Gonzalez and John Brooks as it relates to Russia 2018.

I rate Fagundez higher than Gil, and I love Gil. Fagundez has the potential to be a very, very special player. His creativity, pace with the ball and ability to finish is right up there with anyone in the league. He reminds me of a pacier, shorter Clint Dempsey. And he's still just 19.

The problem with Fagundez is that he just got his Green Card. That means a 5 year wait because this country's immigration policy is horseshit, unless he gets married to a citizen, which cuts it to 2. He's been here since he was like 3.

Gil might need to ask for a trade; he's never going to be handed the keys to the RSL offense as long as Javi Morales is there, and he needs to be in that role right now. His development is being stunted by being stuck out wide and not playing every game (RSL's coach has been starting some England reject in his spot; he had a hamstring injury but has been available the last 2-3 weeks).

Jay Heaps has produced some serious talent up there. Too bad they're backed by the worst owners in the league. Give them some support, give their fans a better environment and community and they'd be a potential dynasty.

Great reflection on the modern USMNT and what could be the end of an era at this World Cup.

Having big players at big clubs will strip away the accessibility and relatabity that has defined the US Internationals for so long and separates it from our other sporting obsessions, but, hey, we'll win more games.

One tweet saying Landon isn't making the 23 man.

USMNT just tweeted the 23.

What on earth, no Donovan, Evans, Parkhust, or Goodson. Brooks, Yedlin, Green, and Chandler all going.
