Well, Bayern and Chelsea each won their home legs of the semis, so the return trips in Spain should at least be interesting. Chelsea may actually be in a little better shape due to the home shutout.

I think Arsenal took a home win in the last 2 or 3 years against Barca only to get demolished at the Nou Camp including a 4 goal game from Messi. Chelsea had 21% of the possession today and were outshot 24-4. I certainly wouldn't put any money on Chelsea to go through. I think Bayern have the best shot of making it through to the finals.

In a vacuum, you're right. But Bayern is better than Chelsea and Real Madrid is not as good as Barcelona (whatever the La Liga table says). Bayern still has a better chance to advance. I think Barcelona will advance, but I'm not sure they'll win the final.

Oh, I don't think they're more likely to win, just that they can still afford to bunker and have a little bit of leeway.

They'll still probably lose 4-0.

How disappointing would a Bayern-Chelsea final be? Super disappointing.

Yeah as much as I don't want either team to win it a Barca-Real Champions League final would be pretty damn epic to watch. Then again I don't want Chelsea to win it either. Pretty much just leaves me Bayern to root for.

Yeah, I'm rooting for Bayern. Not only by default, but also because I rather like them (I'm a German national team fan . . . after the USA, of course).

I want Chelsea out at all costs. I at least want them to have to get fourth place to make the UCL next year. I'll be super pissed if they finish fifth or sixth but win the UCL and one of Tottenham/Newcastle gets bumped out of next year's competition because of it (I'm convinced either this will happen or Chelsea will get enough gifts to finish fourth).

Chelsea is also my last choice to win the Champions League, but my first choice is whatever makes Chelsea the most tired/unfocused/whatever for the FA Cup Final. (Hey, we have to take our pleasures, however small, where we can.)

Anyone want to predict who gets the inevitable red card for Madrid tomorrow? I'd say Pepe and Sergio Ramos are the odds on favorites with Marcelo in third. I'm going with Pepe.

As far as the game goes, I'm thinking 3-1 to Barcelona with Messi, Alexis Sanchez and Fabregas scoring for Barcelona and Benzema for Real.

That was a big moment for Ronaldo's legacy. If he puts out in the champions league final, he should get the Balon D'Or.

Also, Jose's 3 year plan > your manager's 3 year plan.

United-Everton was a great match. Amazing fight back from Everton to get a tie at Old Trafford. At 3-1 I thought they were done and then when United restored the two goal advantage two minutes after Everton made it 3-2, it looked over.

With the City win, the title race is once again wide open as the gap is only three points. The two teams square off next Monday, the 30th, at City. Should be a good one.

Dempsey came in 4th in the 2012 Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers' Association, behind van Persie, Rooney, and Paul [expletive] Scholes. Still pretty damn good for him.

LOL. Nice job, John Terry. You just killed Chelsea's chances today. Moron.

Ugh.

Go Real Madrid (I assume they're more likely to beat Chelsea than Bayern is).

Newcastle and Tottenham are not happy at all right now.
