The parade of summer cash grabs are being scheduled.

Chelsea v AC Milan in Miami and Real Madrid v AC Milan in Vegas. Considering these are just cash grabs for the teams and unofficial party trips for players, these dudes are going to make those entire stadiums smell like vodka sweat. It's going to be hell in the dead of summer in both of those venues. I may have to get to that Vegas game. It'll be what, 95 with 100% humidity in Miami and 110 in Vegas? Yeah, guys who aren't in game shape, go run for 90 minutes straight. That'll be good.

I feel like these organizers just know that these games are in "America" and that depending on location, that can be a 40 degree swing in temperature.

On the plus side, Vegas has an ample supply of hookers for those guys to impregnate. Maybe SUM is just thinking about the long term quality of the player pool

So operation 2040 is finally in play. Maybe the secret service can help out.

ESPN got the City game on Sunday. Looking forward to several of the games.

Taylor Twellmen and Alexi Lalas have a podcast produced by ESPN called Big Head & Red Head. It's on iTunes. You should check it out if you're into MLS and USS.

That will feel like home to Real (except for the humidity)

Do they play lots of games there in the summer that I'm not aware of?

All I'm saying is that instead of picking fun vacation spots, they should go somewhere with fewer distractions and more hospitable weather.

They start the season (both the league and the cup competitions) in august like most other European leagues, but your assessment of preferably preparing in a better environment is probably correct.

I wasn't aware that Castillian Spain was a barren, scorching desert wasteland full of hookers, casinos and booze.

Sir Alex Ferguson eyes 'stupid' Manchester City result

I don't think that'll happen, but I'll be watching the game just in case.

A lot of fun dynamics in that game. Hughes vs the team that fired him, Hughes as Fergie's only hope for a title even though they hate each other, QPR trying to avoid relegation, City with tons of pressure on the brink of the title.

I'm really excited for it.

http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/05/11/armchair-analyst-taking-notice-bradley-%E2%80%93-finally

But while we stateside are still marveling at the fact that a kid who was almost always an afterthought has worked himself into better and better situations, he’s become the darling of the Italian press. They call him “General Bradley,” and basically genuflected before him in February when he played a key role in the US’ 1-0 win over the Azzurri. He’s expected to be named Chievo Verona’s Player of the Year when the season wraps after this weekend.

And after that, when the transfer window opens, he’s expected to be sold to one of the “big” clubs. The Italian press are convinced it’s Roma, where he would absolutely make a nice midfield running-mate to Daniele De Rossi.

But a source tells MLSsoccer.com it’s actually Inter Milan who are making the hardest push for him (to the tune of high seven figures). And that the Nerazzurri see Bradley – our afterthought, our “How’d he make it there?” guy – as the heir to the great Javier Zanetti in midfield.

Yes please. Bradley to Inter would be astounding.

[expletive] this is an intense morning. 4 goals between Arsenal and WBA in 30 minutes. United up 1-0, City 0-0.

Yeah. I don't think there's been another Premier League season in recent memory when this many spots were up for grabs on the last day. The title race, two UCL spots and the last relegation spot all to be decided still.
