San Jose knocked out NY.

That was a fantastic game. Convey twice? He SKINNED Ream on the 2nd, and delivered the assist on Wondolowski's winner.

Henry had a chance to level; a golden, golden chance with a clear header inside the six, and put it over.

Incredible match. Aguedelo is going to be a player.

So reports out of Milan today say Ibrahimovic went in a little too hard on the big fella in training today. Gooch got up, grabbed him by the throat and punches were thrown. I love it. I pray there is video. Apparently it was open to the public.

Gee, wonder who Milan will side with?

That ends the mystery of what will happen with him when the winter transfer window opens. Still, would love to see Gooch owning on Ibra.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2010/11/oguchi_onyewu_reportedly_invol.html

"Training at heightened tension. During the session today, Onyewu and Ibrahimovic in fact came to blows due to a foul by the Swede on the giant American. But let's analyze the facts. An afternoon training session at Milanello (Milan's training center) in front of about 30 spectators. During a scrimmage, Ibrahimovic made a not very proper challenge on the Milan defender. A sliding tackle, not really that bad. But Onyewu, at 1.95 meters of presence, didn't take it too well. Once on his feet, he immediately reacted and took the attacker by his neck. Then came the fight. It was violent from a physical and verbal perspective."

"Their teammates (at least 10 of them) immediately tried to separate them. But both aren't weaklings, and in the end, Max Allegri (the AC Milan manager) was forced to suspend the training session. The strong reaction of Onyewu perhaps was partially due to the recent history of the American defender. He arrived at Milan in 2009, and was injured for over a year after a serious injury. ... Perhaps that unsporting challenge by Ibrahimovic set him off, but scenes of this type should obviously be condemned."

There's video out there of Ibra kicking Seedorf in training. A BS poster brought up the potential racial factor in this trend which wouldn't be super surprising from an Eastern European-Swede, not that I want to stereotype, I just wouldn't be surprised.

And Columbus chokes their way out of the playoffs, losing 2-2 (4-5 in PKs)

Brian Carroll put his PK about 55 feet over the bar. Columbus had chance after chance after chance.

Here's hoping Schelotto stays stateside and becomes a coach. Great player.

He said he wants one more as a player in MLS and then back to Boca Juniors to coach.

So our Eastern Conference finalists are...a team in Denver and a team in San Jose? Do better, MLS.

Edit - HAHAHAHA

Dallas' Chelsea-esque diamond is absolutely tearing RSL up right now.

FCD has an embarrasment of riches as far as quality young players. They have like 3 academy players that haven't played a second this season that could probably contribute to other teams.

Can't believe RSL is going to lose. Best team in the league out.

I hope they focus on gearing up for CONCACAF Champions League.

All 3 away legs have been ridiculously great. End to end, open play, no bunkering.

Chelsea today. . . dum, dum, dum. . .A draw would be tremendous, honestly hoping for anything resembling a competitive match.

Uh, well, nevermind then.

Welcome back 'Nando, welcome back.

Yeah, that was vintage Torres in the first half.

Also, Newcastle up to fifth with their win at the Emirates.

Arsenal wasted a chance to pull with in 2 points. Just a bad week in general for them.

Beckham looked pretty good tonight.

I think Zakuani is going to try to play for England.

http://www.thenewstribune.com/2010/11/08/1414927/uncertainties-ahead.html

Says he isn't sure he'll be back next year. I think he'll try to move to the PL with a mid-level club and work his way in. I think he can do it too.

That would be a very rash decision on his part. I don't think he's ready for the EPL. He needs more experience-decision making in the final third is still on and off.

Worth mentioning, Alex Zahavi was called to the upcoming U-20 camp. This is notable for a few reasons. Because he has been capped u-17 by Portugal, because he has spent time with Barcelona, Arsenal, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon's youth squads. He might be just a youth legend that pans out into not much on the senior side, but he's clearly ambitious and has a pedigree that no other American player does. Either way, poaching him from Portugal, who projected him as a future senior international, is a coup.
