They'd still outnumber Americans in Seattle or Salt Lake City, no? Certainly Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake is whiteyville.

I'm thinking about going to Azteca this year. Anyone ever done it?

Oh yeah, it is very much so. But, like you, how many people can easily drive up from the Southwest?

I guess I don't really care. They can play it here in Phoenix or at the Rose Bowl for all I care. We can beat them regardless, we don't need the gimmicks of trying to freeze out the immigrants.

No, I agree. I'd go to any game in LA or San Diego.

It's just annoying we can't get a favorable crowd in the freaking U.S.

My old roommate was from Mexico City, and his father played for Pumas. I really can't say too much that is positive about it. We were planning on going, but never made it. He pretty much said that I should not ride the Subway because I am too white and the chances are I would get mugged because of that.

Anyone who gets espn360.com should go check out the Roma-Cagliari game replay. Mirko Vucinic scores the game winner in the 90th minute and removes his shorts.

I remember a few years back Antonio Cassano scored for Roma against Juve and took off all of his clothes except for his briefs.

That may have been the same game where he celebrated a goal by kicking the corner flag in half

I can't wait to find out the names of the clients of the third division man whore who claims to have at least 13 Seria A clients. That's the kind of drama that only Serie A can provide.

Hey now, Sacha Kahn getting some love.

CELTIC will battle it out with a host of European rivals to land American star Sacha Kljestan.

The Parkhead club are keen to land the highly-rated attacking midfielder who plays for MLS side Chivas.

But the 23-year-old is being tracked by Monaco, Heerenveen, FC Twente, Leverkusen, Schalke and Wolfsburg.

Greeks Olympiakos and Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg are also thought to be monitoring Kljestan who has 11 caps.

With the economy down and Americans generally being great value, I think this could be a busy January, and a bloody one for MLS.

The Mail On Sunday is a fairly reputable source, especially in the British media world.

Thats a really nice list of interest for him.

You know when I posted that the US v Mexico game on 2/11 was going to be at Rio Tinto?

Yeah, someone at USSF decided that the "tradition" of playing in Columbus outweighed the real likelihood of having to play a critical qualifier in what could be a blizzard.

Goal.com

Napoli have signed Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic, who thus becomes their first winter transfer.

The Partenopei have been after the 20-year-old stopper for some time, and sporting director Pier Paolo Marino has beaten off stiff competition to land him.

Napoli-based Il Mattino claims the deal was done and dusted late last night and the player is set to arrive in January.

The Bosnian, who also holds an American passport, is strong, has height, pace and has already scored five goals this term.

Napoli were quick to move as they wanted to avoid missing out on him given the fact that there was some interest in him from the Premier League.

The details of the transfer are still unknown and Napoli are yet to make an official announcement.

Edy Reja's side have serious Champions League ambitions this term, and another top-rated defender is a welcome addition to the side.

Some nice matchups in the next CL round :D

Chelsea v Juventus

Sporting Lisbon v Bayern München

Atlético Madrid v Porto

Olympique Lyon v FC Barcelona

Real Madrid v Liverpool

Arsenal v AS Roma

Inter Milan v Manchester United

Those are some great matchups. It's almost like they decided to match up all the top tier teams with each other (sans Barcelona) and all the second tier teams.

Neven SUCKotic chooses SUCKbia.

Screw whoever pissed this kid off. Rongen, Bradley, etc. Go away.

Castillo, Rossi and Subotic (especially the latter two) are better than anyone we have at those positions. Rossi and Subotic may be better than anyone we have EVER had at those positions.

Especially the way Bocanegra is playing at left back for Rennes, we could easily, easily start Subotic right now.

Update from SI:

As with previous reports regarding Neven, his representative continues to advise us that the stories are untrue and no decision has been made in regards to his international future,'' Gulati said.

This is annoying.
