Sounds like an awesome game to me.

 

Arsenal actually look like a legit team. Too little too late though. I miss The Invincibles team, Wenger has been soft now for 5+ years.

Most boring EPL stretch run in a while. Title is all but locked up as are the UCL places. Liverpool and Southampton losing plus Tottenham tying this weekend killed that off. Could have been really interesting down the stretch since ManU still plays home to Man City and Arsenal as well as at Chelsea, Everton and Palace. Or City with home to West Ham and Southamption and road against ManU, Tottenham, Swansea and Palace.

 

But now either Manchester club would have to blow at least three games plus have one of those other three win out.

Sad news for Johnson, but the bright side is he had his time in Europe and had a nice international career. This only really cuts out his twilight years in the MLS. That 2006 USMNT is slowing fading out of professional soccer. Who's even left, Dempsey, Beasley, Howard, Onyewu?

 

Yedlin got a sub appearance for Tottenham today which was reportedly uneventful. Apparently completed all of his passes and helped defend on a counter-attack. Hope he can build some confidence.

I said before the R16 game in the summer that Hazard plays defense and tracks back like a bored housecat. I've seen nothing this season to change that opinion. Great attacking player, but jeebus he doesn't track back or keep shape.
