This makes group B much more interesting.

The Dutch will have at least 3 more points via the socceroos so they will be through. It will come down to Spain needing 3 points against Chile. A draw or loss and they are out.

This is assuming:

-Australia doesn't get any points

-Chile doesn't get blown out by the Netherlands

Also Spain v Brazil in the 16. Or Chile. If Brazil win it, they will earn it.

This result SUCKS for Chile. Poor Australia is going to be the team who Chile and Spain try to make up GD against. They're going to get shell shocked. Edited by wolf stansson

ahahaha Casillas falling down before the shot even gets duffed

What's insane is this could be 7-1 or 8-1 fairly easily. Spain has been conceding good chances pretty much the entire half.

This is shocking.

I don't think it does suck for Chile. They were going to be up against it anyway. Now this means that if they can just beat Australia by a couple goals, they only need to tie Spain to go through since they'll surely have the GD.

They thought coming in they'd probably have to beat one of Spain/Holland to advance. Now they don't have to.

If Chile plays like this in their next two games, Spain and Netherlands are going to pound them. Their defense was not very good.

Australia looked a lot better than I thought they would. Chile got away with a complacent performance.

So far the games have been outstanding. The refereeing hasn't lived up to the players yet.

I love ESPN's post-game, end-of-day, wrap-up show. Michael Ballack is such a hater. Twellman is feisty. Roberto Martinez is brilliant.

Also, Rafa Marquez is the only player to ever captain his team in 4 world cups which goes to show that Mexican managers are shitty at selecting captains.

Just finished watching all the Holland/Spain game. What a beating. Every single thing I dislike about watching Spain bit them in the ass today.

Holland finally look like they all like each other; amazing what time and growing up can do. Sneijder, RVP and Robben all at various times over the past 8 years have spent World Cups arguing on and off the field. There's a togetherness there now that could really make them difficult to deal with.

Tomorrow, I've got Columbia, Uruguay, England and Japan all winning.

Greece is playing surprisingly non-boring. They've actually sent multiple players forward quite frequently, and Columbia are letting them drift forward to try and hit them on the break.

Weirdly proud of how good Geiger has been in this game.

I was about to post how impressed I've been with the ref.

Depending on how this WC unfolds, he could be given some important games based on his performance today.

Any talks on if Costa will get hit for his obvious yet weak headbutt? Guessing Fifa ignores it with the importance of Spain/Chile.
