It took less than 20 minutes to bring us to the brink of Germany and the Dutch advancing, my favorite result. Very nice.

Things just got very interesting. Germany leads 1-0 and if that result holds up, no scenario will allow Denmark to advance. Netherlands would also need to win by at least two goals to advance as Portugal finishes second with a 1-goal loss.

The Netherlands-Portugal game is going to come down to the Netherlands defense. I think they'll score two or three goals, but Portugal has had a handful of good chances already.

Yep. Even Germany has to worry a bit now. A 2-1 win by Denmark plus any Portugal win sends Germany home.

With 3 goals in 30 minutes looking like a slim possibility to get Netherlands through, I'm left with "someone knock Portugal out of the tournament" as a rooting interest. Fortunately, multiple teams can achieve this goal.

Let's be real; Ireland may as well be named Panama playing in this tournament. They won't sniff the goal against Italy. And don't get me wrong, I'll be very much pulling for the old country to bounce Italy. I just don't see it happening.

Made it to St. Sixtus two Saturday's ago. Didn't know In De Verde was closed on Thursday's and Friday's. Had a couple of 12's with it. The St. Bernardus B&B is a steal, $85 euro's for a huge double room with all the St. Bernardus you can drink and bikes included.

I'd imagine Spain would want to win the group, though, and Italy wins the group with a 0-0 Spain/Croatia draw.
