Of course, there have been no walk off wins this season for the Cubs but I have collected the walkoffs available on cubs.com from 2004 and 2005. There were a bunch from 2003 and there was of course that crazy play at wrigley against colorado in 2001.

Does anyone know where I can find some video clips from before 2004?

I think cl_smooth has the Rockies vid.... it would be greatly aprecciated it you could get me a download link for it.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Done with the video: http://rapidshare.de/files/28166419/Cubs_walkoffs.wmv.html

If you can't figure out rapidshare, check pg 2 of this thread... i posted directions.

what i'll do is this...when i get home tonight, i'll upload it to my girlfriend's website and post the link here for anyone who wants it. i'll keep it there for a week so it gives everyone who wants it enough time to download it. sound good?

p.s. one of these days, i'll get around to converting maddux's 300th win, the 2003 nl central clincher, game 163 from '98 and the '84 nl east clincher to .mp4 for everyone.

p.p.s. did anyone ever find out where one could purchase the sandberg game?

Thought I'd just move this quote here from the brenneman thread.

Thanks again cl!

You're forgetting Gonzo's wall off-jacks in 2002.

I thought those were 2003... anything is fine though... any walkoff

He had walk-off jacks in both 2002 and 2003

well then get them for me!!!!

One of Gonzalez's walk-off bombs was a night game against Texas in 2002 (I believe in June). I was at that game; it was my first night game at Wrigley.

I was at that game as well and my buddy called the dinger. Some little kid behind us heard him and went nuts when he actually hit the HR. The rest of that night is a bit foggy for some reason though.

The thing that's amazing about that video is that the Cubs were 17 games over .500 in the second week of August, and in first place.

I'd forgotten how competitive the '01 team was. I seem to remember a series in Florida in late August/early September where the wheels came off the wagon, and for some reason Tom Gordon is coming to mind as the reason why.

if i recall correctly, the bullpen as a whole fell apart. tapani had a bad second half, as well...i believe he started the season 8-1 and ended the season under .500 and retired. the cubs also had a rotating cf platoon of roosevelt brown and corey patterson at the time. mcgriff was playing 1st base and not producing enough offense as we all hoped he would. sammy was being sammy, too. i think the rbi differential between sammy and ricky guttierrez was something like 90-100 rbis...and ricky was second on the team in rbi's, too! they lost 8 in a row during may/june, then proceeded to win 12 straight right after the losing streak. man, that was an enjoyable year of baseball, although the ending wasn't what we wanted it to be.

Gordon's injury was a major factor in the collapse. He missed the first part of the season due to injury, but Fassero did a great job of filling in as closer. He got injured again near the end of the season, but this time Fassero couldn't do the job.

Awesome video. Did you have a vid of the Alou/Sosa back to back jacks in 2004?

Also, I think the Cubs do not have a walk off win at all this year. Any stats on how many walk off wins other teams have?
