It's likely that they can't do a split doubleheader. They have an agreement with the neighborhood that dictates when they can play night games.

Anyone have any idea if WGN is still planning to air this game as well? They are already scheduled to air the first game of the doubleheader, as it was set previously, but not sure about the makeup game.

 

Only reason I ask is because our wonderful cable provider here in the hometown of the Cubs AAA affiliate only carries the Cubs games that are on WGN, or the ones on ESPN that we are lucky enough to not have blacked out.

They did say they were planning to air both games before they left for the evening..I'm in the same boat, so I'm very happy to see both games.
