Nice return for the Pirates. Nady is decent, not spectacular. Perez still has something left. He could turn it around and be good. It wasn't happening in Pitt though.

And it looks like Oliver Perez goes back to San Diego in a deal for Linebrink.....

 

According to Metsblog.com, the Padres have trade Scott Linebrink to the Mets for Oliver Perez and Heath Bell.

The Padres will probably regret parting with Linebrink, not that Bell can't step into the pen and do a decent job. Perez, back with his original team, is still a nice property for the future, but he can't help now.
