Kudos to Miller for holding onto that ball.

I enjoyed his mild spike of the ball in Dunn's direction afterwards.

not really even a spike, just kind of dropped the ball at Dunn's face after he got up a lot quicker than Dunn did.

simply an awesome way to handle the situation. like jogging down to first looking at the pitcher with a smile on your face after getting hit intentionally (what Aram should have done).

note to AJ - - that is when colliding with the catcher is appropriate. you know, when the catcher actually has the ball or the ball is somewhere near the plate.

So I'm the one who brought AJ into a thread about Adam Dunn?

Responding to a previous post is not hijacking, hijacking is attempting to change the topic of the thread (which was done by someone else, not me).

I made my comment brief and without insult to the Cubs or the poster. I don't post often here, but every post I have made has been respectful, on topic, and not insulting to the Cubs.

And my "opinion" about blocking the plate (or any base) without the ball is not "opinion", it is chapter and verse from the MLB rulebook, which was backed up 100% by the disciplinary actions of MLB.

I will not respond to this thread in any manner in the future, so no one will need to be concerned about it being "hijacked". You may resume Dunn and Miller discussions.

Meh...that really wasn't that big of hit. Perhaps if Miller was planted and waiting for Dunn it would have been more entertaining!

Yeah, Pete Rose running over Ray Fosse this wasn't. Props to Damian Miller though, that was a hell of a play on his part.

Agreed! As you mention, it was a great play on Miller's part. Although Barrett has been great as a Cub, I have much respect for Damian in 2003 and the way he handled our pitching staff.
