Despite being a huge fan of Aramis Ramirez, do y'all think the Indians would be interested in trading Andy Marte and mabe another quality prospect for ARam, if the Cubs threw in some cash to offset Aramis' contract? Your thoughts? David Wright would be awesome but there's no way the Mets would go for that.

I wouldn't, even if the Indians would. I'm not interested in trading Ramirez in the first place, but if he is traded it needs to be for a PROVEN major league star, not a prospect (even a top one). There's no guarantee even a top prospect will pan out.

No No No No NO. Trading Ramirez for anything less than a proven ML run producer is uselss. Trading him for prospects with this organization and coaching staff is meaningless. They might as well give him away for nothing. No part of me thinks the Cubs can develop an everyday ML player.

I don't want him traded. He should stay. If you trade him and don't get back one run producer and another everyday player, you might as well trade Lee and Barrett, because it means we won't contend until 2009.

Sure.....................

If the other player you are talking about is either Grady Sizemore, or for the heck of it...Carlos Zambrano AL Twin, CC Sabathia.

Now talk about your TAG-TEAM of Zambrano and CC Sabathia  .

The Indians are sellers, why would they want to trade for Aram?

The Indians are sellers, the same way the Cubs are. They are more than capable of contending next season, and should look at the trading deadline as a chance to load up for next year.

Now if Hendry can trade Aram for Arod, then parts for Miggy Cabrera, then sign Schmidt we will be in pretty good shape :-)

Agreed. I would only trade ARam if you can get somebody who is going to put up numbers comparable to what ARam will put up.
