U2 doesn't suck, but LZ is just a much, much better band. And as for the U2 being good live -- isn't Zep arguably THE live band? Their dvds are simply amazing.

 

 

Absolutely, that double disc live Zep concert DVD is just SICK SICK SICK.

 

If i coud go back in time but only 5 times, going to a Led Zep concert would be in that top 5.

I thought U2 was probably the best band in the 80s. Just my opinion. They havent been awful but not nearly as good since. I really go in streaks with Led Zeppelin. In the 70s I was a big fan. I went some years where if I didnt hear them on the radio I probably didnt listen to them at all. After the lawsuit and my really getting into old blues I did notice that some of their earlier stuff was probably ripped off. I wouldnt mind if they would have given credit or paid royalties. I voted Zeppelin. This is really a case where I have really enjoyed both bands though. I wasnt quite old enough to see them LZ live. I have seen U2 live a couple of times and they were really great.

U2 is definitely awesome, and there are times when I'd rather listen to them than Led Zeppelin. But on the whole, the overall quality of Led Zeppelin's entire repertoire significantly outclasses that of U2's.

 

And I've not seen the double DVD, but I have Song Remains the Same, and there is no other word for it than BAD-A--well, I can't actually say the word here, but you get my point.
