What was Neifi doing?

No, not another Neifi-bashing thread.

 

Did anyone see the game on Wednesday, when Pagan doubled just inside third base, and the ball got stuck in the Cubs' bullpen? Replays showed Cubs pitchers jumping out of the way, the ball hitting the leg of the bullpen catcher and coming to rest on top of Neifi, who was laying on the ground (?).

 

What the heck was he doing laying on the ground, next to the wall in the bullpen? Neither Len nor Bob said much about it other than identifying Neifi, and I've seen nothing about it in other media. What gives?

Neifi was down there on all fours and, you know, sometimes the coaches like to take a seat out in the bullpen to catch some atmosphere and, well, you know, Neifi is still gainfully employed and gets all kind of playing time despite the fact that he is non-productive, and....well there has to be reason for this. I don't want to speculate or anything...Neifi just sucks...and blows.

Well, he had a video clip of bush with his hand belwo the table. he said something along the lines of:
