120 pitches. And he's still in the game.

Nolan Ryan once threw 235 pitches in a game. This 120 pitch game is child's play.

I know, I know. And Fergie Jenkins once through back-to-back extra inning double headers and then worked long relief the next day.

Kids these days are so pampered.

Let me see if I have this right....we have a 4 run lead with 6 outs to go, our most valuable pitcher is already over 100 pitches, and all we are playing for is to move to within 20 games of 500...............and he leaves Z in???

Maybe the previous poster who believes Dusty is trying to strengthen his "dude, how am I supposed to win without any of my big weapons" case by forcing Z to get injured.

Don't you wish more reporters had the stones to question this after the game. Notice how "after the game" reporters never ask anything that's worth anything.

What, you don't think Baker's opinion on Sammy Sosa being left off the top 5 greatest Cubs list is worthwhile?

This is serious stuff that we need to know.

Well, to stay marginally on topic, Barry Roid will be around to face the Cubs when the Giants next come to town as he was not indicted today. Apparently the prosecution needs the testimony of his personal trainer who was in jail for refusing to testify. The trainer had to be released as the grand jury term expired, but I'm sure he'll be recalled before the "new" grand jury and sent back to jail if he refuses again to testify. At some point the trainer will relent and the Roid will be indicted and hopefully suspended, thus ending his career.
