This one's probably the hardest that I've voted on so far. I was gonna go Eagles because of the sheer number of good songs they've had, but then I remembered the level of lame-itudinousness of so many of their big hits. I voted Police.

Wow, this is real tough. I've had phases where I would have voted Eagles and other times where I would have picked the Police. I'm going Police I guess.

Not a huge fan of either, but I went with the Eagles. Good driving music band.

I know it's very immature to say 'I hate this band', or 'this band sucks'. But that's how I feel about the Eagles. Maybe growing up as a metalhead in the 80's jaded me, but the Eagles were always to me the epitome of what was wrong with 70's mainstream rock. Not enough 'rock' - it felt to me that even their edgier stuff wouldn't be too far out of place on adult contemporary radio.

i'm not a huge fan of either, but I gave it to The Eagles by a slight margin. I don't expect either to make it out of the Sweet 16

I've always thought that the Eagles were/are extremely over rated. I like a couple of their songs, but overall I don't really like them at all.

I tied it up for the Eagles, the only reason I even considered the Police was because Copeland. He was awesome with them and wiht Oysterhead. But I couldnt get over my hate of sting.
