Source? and if true, the Nats actually score pretty big here. Clayton is old and not very good. Harris, though I still like him, projects only as a backup. Majewski and Bray could be good relivers and I don't know much about Thompson. However, Lopez is an all-star, Wagner could turn into a closer, and Kearns has lots of potential. That is w/out doubt one ofthe worst trades I have seen in 10 years. What a rip job. Bowden ate their lunch. What the heck are the Reds thinking?

If they move Phillips to short and play Freel everyday at 2nd, they improve their defense and the top of their order as well as thei bullpen, but they diod give up a lot in Kearns and Lopez. I am not convinced Wagner will ever amount to much. I've watched him for two years and he definitely needed a change of scenery.

Why do the Reds do this deal?

Who will play RF for Cincy?

Who will play SS for Cincy?

Wagner for Bray (both were former 1st rders) is a wash. So the Reds traded two nice and young contributors for a solid MR, a crappy SS, a unknown backup, and Darryl Thompson. Man, how did Bowden pull this trade out of his butt? And Kravisky looks very dumb.

After this trade, can you NOW imagine what Bowden will asked for, when teams will be calling for Vidro, Soriano, Guillen, and Hernandez? If they can get similar type deals like this one, the Nats will be contenders in 07.

Man, this trade looks like CIncy is giving up on the season. This was a STUPID trade.

Wow, that's ridiculous.

I agree with goony...imagine what Willamson, Howry, Eyre or Dempster could net in this market.

Wow. Just wow.

It must be some nonsense to improve their defense, and improve their bullpen.

Except Bill Bray isn't that good, Majewski isn't that good, Ryan Wagner has as much potential as Darryl Thompson, Lopez >>>>>>>>> Clayton, and Kearns >>>>>>>>>>>> Brendan Harris.

Gave up a lot to improve their bullpen.

If relievers are going to be this overvalued, Hendry needs to get on the horn.

Seriously. It would have been nice to move Williamson or Dempster to the Reds for some talent.

They have Clayton and Juan Castro to play short...two no-hit, slick fielding shortstops.

Chris Denorfia and William Bergolla were called up from here. I imgaine Ray Olmedo will go up and Bergolla will come down after Olmedo proves to be healthy (he took a ball off the neck/head on Sunday).
