This was the NSBB get together game with Kerry Wood making his first start of the season. Washington beat the CUBS 5-3

Things more or less went downhill from this point. I wanted to get a group shot of NSBB members

when the game ended, but as soon as the last pitch was thrown, people started to scatter in all

directions. At any rate, among those in attendance were sethuel1, nilodnayr, brian, sbrin84,

Mark_R, as well as myself and several family members. If I've forgotten anybody, please don't

take offense, it was not intentional.

 

Tues 27 June 2006

 

CUBS lose to Milwaukee 8-5, after rallying in the 8th to take a 5-4 lead, Dempster implodes in

the 9th, the Brewers score 4 times, and that was that !!

CUBS beat Milwaukee 6-3 on the strength of a 5 run rally in the 8th inning. Marmol pitched very

well, leaving with the game tied 1-1 in the 7th.

but that sure doesn't look like Derrek, and it sure doesn't look like a home run swing. If anybody has

a clue who and what that might be, let me know !!

Also I'd like to note that the guy behind Tony (UMFan83) in the group picture, in the Lee jersey, is the guy who...

 

A) wore a rally cap even though the Cubs were leading going into the ninth, the moron.

 

B) got angry at us for booing Dusty and Neifi continuoously.

 

C) was generally upset that we referred to this season as various synonyms for "poop."

 

D) got bitchy after the game, and then when Tony told him to suck it, got in Tony's face and told him to "Go wear a White Sox jersey" and that he shouldn't question Dusty "because he's the manager."

 

E) sucks the most.

I'd just like to note that in the same pic, the guy in the Brewers cap and glasses was a pretty cool guy. I'd much rather have a drink with him than the prick in the Lee jersey.
