New Trier is more White Sox fans than Cubs fans. When I pass by White Sox fans, they start going, "WHITE SOOOOOX!!" They do it to others too. They are rude, dumb, and obnoxious people. I hate their fans so much, I want to punch them in the face. Go ahead, I know you're going to say, I wouldn't make a trade w/ them unless they were getting fleeced. I don't care. This thread was meant for people who want to see the White Sox lose. Not a thread where I could spew my anti-White Sox venom.

And that last sentence in what I quoted makes zero sense given what we've seen time and time again when someone seemingly dares to even think of mentioning the White Sox on this board.

 

And having Mabry in your sig, under the reasoning you gave us, is ridiculous. Career-wise, Mabry has been a very solid bench player. He only got additional playing time when Lee was injured...other than that, we've seen him about as much as you'd expect to see a pinch hitter or guy subbing for someone hurt/have a day off. Pagan is infinitely more deserving to be up there with the time he's robbed Murton of thus far, thought neither he nor Mabry are even close to Neifi/Rusch-esque levels.

 

If you have ever read Moneyball, you have more than enough reason to hate John Mabry.

Ever since Detroit started off hot and the White Sox had firm control of the Wild Card, I have maintained that both the Red Sox and Yankees would make the playoffs this year. The part of my prediction that is looking like it will end up incorrect is that I thought Detroit would slip and miss the playoffs while the White Sox win the AL Central.

 

But I do see two teams from the AL East getting in, or at least the Yankees. The Yankees are like the Braves, they've made the playoffs/won their division so many years in a row that I'm not going to count them out.

I've been clicking back and forth between watching Mr. Can't Keep His Pitch Count Below 100 In Five Innings and the Indians-Tigers game. the ESPN guys were just talking about that play (Stone and Phillips I think) and about how Ozzie said it was a good clean play.

 

I am wondering how you reconcile your unwaivering support for just about everthing Ozzie says and your claim that Thames play was dirty.

Looked like a clean play to me. He was well within reach of the bag, didn't go in with his cleats, and no elbows were thrown.

Ozzie said it was clean? Ozzie thinks anything short of shivving the pitcher in the ribs is clean. He has talked openly about supporting "old time" cheating like spitting on the ball and other things.

I was just going to say that the way the standings look now, a "Go Twins" thread seems more appropriate. Then again, the goings on of the AL Central have little to no effect on my everyday life, so why bother?
