Baylor did bat Bill Mueller and his .403 OBP in the 2nd spot a lot during 01 before injury when Gutierrez struggled.

Oddly, I think most managers would keep Pierre hitting leadoff. Of course, that is what usually separates the good ones from the bad ones.

 

I think he'll be gone by the AS Break and Chris will be the new interim manager as the Cubs play .500 ball the rest of the year, while playing better they'll lack enough fire to merit keeping him as the permanent manager.

 

I do believe that Gonzalez will be the new manager next year. Although, I have Hershiser as my fav. choice, but given what happened with the last bigger name, it'll be more low key.

Those starters when they get days off aren't used to coming in off the bench, Neifi is more conditioned to coming in as a quick replacement.

 

Walker has been given the role of the unathletic starting 2B, starters don't come off the bench, they're too cold.
