I hate having to watch this implosion on Astros TV...in other news Walker just grounded into the Cubs 83rd & league leading double play

Don't know what that pace is or what the record is, but there ya have it

In more interesting news, there is a lady on the 1st base line with an Egyptian headress on. Watch if they show a LH batter from the RH side.

 

She is reflecting back to the period when the Cubs last won the World Series. :(

Anyone thinking more and more about the last game of the season and the season being over.

 

I love baseball to death and everything about it, but when the Cubs are just awful like this, it completely kills my interest. I think it has something to do with seeing other teams play the game the right way and seeing how the Cubs play and just being jealous and wishing we could play like other teams. I hate the Cubs.

Yep. I didn't know the precise stat, but every double play is like a tiny dagger----after awhile you start to sense it's really, really bad.

 

I'll bet we've got a shot at the record.

That was my first thought. Sadly, Walker does not speak Spanish, so Omar probably won't be interested in him.

 

The good news is, as good as he is with spending FA money; he's got a spotty track record on trades (Benson for Julio; Kazmir for Little Z).

 

Duquette traded Kazmir.

The pace is 210 -- don't know the record either, but that would have to set it.

Duquette made the Kazmir deal. But Omar DID do the Cliff Lee/Grady Sizemore/Brandon Phillips for Bartolo Colon deal.
