So today Marmol makes his first MLB start as we try to ignore the double-jinx of Roast and WGN.

Marmol is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 4 IP as a reliever.

The Cubs could reach NEW territory after today. I mean the Cubs are looking at a 3 game winning streak, something that hasn't happen since April 23-25 :shock: . And 3 games is the longest winning streak the Cubs have had this yr. I hope Johnny B and the Cubs are not afraid of heights, because they COULD soar to 3 games in a row..... :roll:

Anything wrong with Ram?? We do have a day off tomorrow, so it can't be a rest day.

 

Dusty has liked to give some players a day off before an off day in the past ... sort of a mini-vacation to REALLY rest them up. Especially if someone is already a little sore or creaky.

 

 

Why in the hell is it Neifi over Mabry? DUSTY IS SUCH A TOOL

 

Mabry was absolutely brutal in his one or two appearances at 3B in spring training. That may be playing into Neifi being Replacement Option 1 at 3B.

We need Restovich on the roster until Lee comes back. We're in the midst of a stretch of games where we're facing a lot of LHP, and we need some sort of RH bat to spell Jones that isn't Bynum.

 

Yep, but he collected splinters last time. Now that Bynum has 2 HRs to his name, I'd guess the same would happen this time no matter what Restovich is doing in AAA.

Well the idea would be to get rid of Bynum to make room for Restovich, but you're right, this won't happen.

I think Dusty is just conceding today seeing as how we've won the last two. I really believe he thinks 2 out of 4 is okay at Cincy. I really dislike him more everyday. I didn't think it could get worse.

Why does Pierre even bother to bunt? I mean it's always giving the team an easy out to start the game. I'd rather him just leave the bat on his shoulder and hopefully get a walk...
