I have to wonder if Rusch has motivational issues. I mean, he gets stuck in the pen and comes out throwing lights out. He's done this a couple of times with the Cubs now.

Ruch on fire.

Whenever Glendon has pitched well, it's when he's stayed in the strike zone. He gets into problems trying to nibble and getting behind in the count.

The most important pitch in baseball is strike one. If you pitch ahead in the count you will win more than you lose. Unfortunately, the Cubs have demonstrated that on both sides of the field this year.

In other news.... Jason Bay homered again today. How many games is that in a row now?

This just in: He's good.

well, rusch has locked up a rotation spot for a month.

Who else you gonna run out there until the injured guys get back? Nobody else has done anything to warrant getting the spot.

Since going to the pen, Rusch has had 4 really good outings, and 1 real stinker. Glad we're seeing the good Rusch today.

I'd give Ryu another start. Hell, I'd give him 4 or 5 more starts.

But it seems as the Cubs and many of the people on this board wouldn't.

Well until Prior is ready I'd like to see Ryu continue to get starts or another prospect, we might as well give a guy a chance to prove himself and not just judge him after one outing especially with the wind blowing out

But do you do that, he continues to struggle, and loses all confidence? Just being the devil's advocate. If he can go out there with composure and keep the ball down he may be all right.
