I don't think it mattered if he was tipping his pitched...he was just throwing everything belt high right down the middle...anyone is going to hit that hard.

Anyone care to watch the replay to see if Ryu was tipping his pitches?

Cause that matters when you're throwing meatballs down the heart of the plate. :D

Another great cubs prospect.

Easy. He is a good prospect. The key word being PROSPECT.

Carlos gave up 7 runs in 4 innings in his first start.

Don't judge Ryu by this one game.

Sounds to me like he's a sinkerballer and was maybe a little amped up for the start today and wasn't getting the ball down in the zone because of it.

And he is a 5th degree black belt!

Seriously? thats awesome. (i'm a 3rd Degree)

Go Ryu!

According to the Chip, yes.

Chip also took great joy in telling us viewers about the day Steve Stone gave up 5 homers in Wrigley.

If that was a Cubs pitcher he'd go on the DL for 3 months.

Pffft.

If that was a Cubs pitcher, he wouldn't have been covering first.

Keep watching, Glendon will show you how it's not done.
