Remember when we might have gotten Andruw Jones for Sosa?

 

Do you mean could have if the Cubs could have been smart enough to trade Sosa earlier and get a player LIKE A. Jones? Or was this deal specifically rumored/on the table/discussed?

Those with better memories can help me, but a few years ago the Braves were shopping Jones, and Sosa's value was still quite high at that point.

 

There were many who advocated Sosa for Jones.

Man...I'd be curious to see what other deals/offers were out there for Sammy before the relationship between him and the Cubs fell apart.
