They just lost a series to the D-Rays down here in FLA. They might be slumping.

I hope the Cubs take the first game of the series. The series is much more important to the Cubs then it is the W. Sox.

I just hope the Cubs don't get swept out of the south side. This year, as early as it is, would be a tough pill to swallow right now.

Here to the Cubs showing some guts and playing as hard as they can.

Scott, again I applaud your enthusiasm. I don't know where you get it.

Soapy, What else can we do?

I predicted the Red Sox come back over the Yankees in 2004. I good friend at work from Boston was asking me if he should watch game 5. I told him I'd watch my team to the bitter end. I told him "you could be on the edge of one of the greatest come backs in baseball history". He watched and watched again. He'll never think that way again.

Now are the 2006 Cubs the 2004 Red Sox? No, not even close. The Cubs have a lot of little indians in the line-up but no big chiefs. We need a big chief. Hopefully Hendry can find one. Tony Womack is just another little indian.

I don't have any answers for the Cubs right now. But it's still May 19th. It's early.

I'm glad we miss Vazquez, and who knows how Contreras will do coming off the DL. Is the second game Garcia or Garland? Clearly Jon would be better than Freddy Edited by Derwood

I have a theory. Perhaps the Cubs have an Intellivision in the clubhouse where they play Major League Baseball. On that game you could bunt a home run. No joke.

I remember doing that. Somehow it didn't translate to real life. But then again no simulated game does.

Tell that to Wood & Prior.

I would love to go to todays game though. That would be cool.

I actually had an opportunity to go to Sunday's game with a friend of mine. If the Cubs were a better team, I would have been willing to do so.

But $75 to see your team get hammered in enemy territory is not how I roll.

Here's hoping I'm wrong.

I would have went. My Cubbie thich skin can handle anything a Sox fan can through at me. A win would be so sweet.

This series , as of right now, might just be our playoff/World Series games this year so enjoy and hope our boys play the game hard.

I badly want to get swept out of town, so to speak. Three consecutive shutouts of five runs or more, including a 13-0 blowout on getaway day.

That would get Dusty fired, and that's what I desire. Also, less fans would come to the games, and the Trib would be compelled to sell while before the club loses value from reduced ticket revenues.

I cannot bring myself to feel as you do. If the Cubs win the World Series and Dusty is the manager then so be it. Last I looked it wasn't the Chicago Bakers, it was the Cubs. I have to much history as a fan to hope for that.

Things will work out. Have Faith.

Date this quote was first used by a Cubs fan: April 1, 1909.

Saying it is different then saying it and believeing it. I believe it.

You could do it on Reggie Jackson Baseball for the original Sega, too.

The Cubs might have had a chance if the series was at Wrigley, but not when it's at the Cell. The Sox get to use Thome and the Cubs will probably counter with Blanco (actually catching with Barrett DHing). At Wrigley, the Sox would have to take either Thome or Konerko out of their lineup. Let's hope Maddux is on his game and Buerhle is off his. Game three has possibilities if Zambrano stays hot. Game two is a lost cause.
