Holliman off to a great start tonight for Daytona. Through 3 innings, he has struck out 5, walked none, and only allowed 1 hit.

Peoria is getting underway.

lineups are out for the Jaxx game...no EPatt tonight. Cates will be the starting 2B tonight.

Epatt is probably on his way to Chicago now so we can have yet another 2b on the team. :D

Dude, giving up that two run home run in the first was not cool.

Jaxx tie the game at 1. The run by the Biscuits in the 2nd was unearned due to the fact that Wells threw a would be pick off to CF. The runner at 2nd later scored, thus the unearned run.

Come on man, you let us down today. 4R/2ER in 6 innings today and you get a loss...what were you thinking? :x

On a serious note the Chiefs' only offense today was a Mark Reed solo shot in the 2nd inning.

Attaboy Mark...he needs to keep hitting well. He's got the talent...he needs to put up some numbers this year.

ouch, Jaxx blew a 7-2 lead as Schappert came in and allowed 5 runs without retiring a batter. Brownlie then came in and allowed 2 in the 8th and the Jaxx lose 9-7 :x Brownlie's ERA is now up to 11.05. I don't know about you guys, but I have gave up on Bobby.

Some notables from Daytona/West Tenn games...

Jake Fox, 3-4, 2b, 3b, 3 RBI

Luis Montanez, 2-5, HR, 4 RBI

Scott Moore, 2-4, HR, RBI

Sam Fuld, 2-3, 2b, BB, RBI

As for Peoria...

Norwood 2-4

Reed 1-4, HR

*If Geovany Soto keeps hitting over .250 for the entire season, there is no reason he shouldn't be our backup catcher next season. He's a better hitter than Blanco is now, and he's solid defensively. He'd be cheap too, and we have some more catchers coming soon that could use some playing time at AA and AAA (Fox, Reyes, Richie) so it would do some good to get Soto out of the way.
