Who is watching the CSN feed? That could possibly be the most vile, pathetic load of crap I've ever heard. Was that guy told to read that off a cue card? That was a huge steaming pile that made me want to stab nyself in the eye with a rusty ice pick.

Pat and Ron dicussing all time x-base hitting and RBI leaders, what no Pujols? I thought he gets 100 x-base hits everytime he rolls out of bed.

Random note: me heart Ronny Cedeno. :-)

Out of 192 qualified players, Cedeno is #189 in pitches per plate appearance. Vlad Guerrero takes more pitches than Ronny. It would be nice for him to start seeing more pitches than, say, Neifi Perez.

How was this kid not talked about more before? It was always Hill, but Hill's ML outings (I know, sample size) haven't looked close to as good as Marshalls. I hope Hill does well, but I'm glad Marshall leapfrogged Hill.

Funny you should mention it, they're actually kinda similar. Hill started out with 2 good starts then got rocked in 2, Marshall the opposite.

NICE curve.

Any updates on bringing up Hill, incidentally?

He was brought up.

Oh. Kind of good news. One more shellacking out of Rusch, though, and perhaps he ought to be DFAed.. that is, if he doesn't kick a window fan in frustration, ala Farnsworth...

do the Cubs want to go home, offense and defense going quickly.

It's a long flight to Phoenix from Seattle - I know, I just took one. So I can imagine wanting to get on the plane out of Chicago ASAP. :-)

Still, just a few more runs, pls, guys?

EDIT: der, there's still tomorrow vs. the Buccos. I just want to see them!!

Minor league observers (like Mark Peel in particular) have always rated Marshall above Hill. He was typically rated above Pinto as well. The minor injury last year set him back, which made people talk about him less, but he's always been considered a top prospect...higher than Hill. You heard about Hill so much last year because he went all the way from Single A to the majors in one year!...when he finally found control. Until last year, Hill was arguably the wildest pitcher in the minors.
