I think MiLB.com is wrong for game 2 of the Iowa DH.

Peoria and SW Michigan will play one today and two tomorrow.

It stopped raining for a bit here in Peoria this morning, but started up again about 20 minutes ago. We'll see what that ends up meaning for later on tonight, but I'm not terribly hopeful.

The good (?) news is that the game on Sunday is not scheduled to start until 6:30pm, and was only scheduled as a single game. O'Brien Field is shared with the Bradley baseball team, and they had at least a game scheduled for this afternoon.

Due to the Bradley game, the plan is for the Chiefs to play 2 7-inning games tomorrow, Monday 1 May, starting at 5pm (doors open at 4) I suppose if we get rained out today, they'll play 2 on Tuesday as well. Good thing Wednesday is an off-day :)

Also, since the Chiefs are on an 8 game homestand, I believe there are several families in town to visit, so hopefully that's a good thing. Believe it or not, I guess it was crazy for them to find rooms to stay in this past weekend, due to a huge soccer tournament going on in town (yick - some weekend to have to sit out and watch soccer!)

So much for getting my flowers planted this weekend - guess it will have to wait a bit longer.

Best,

Karen

So Jackson's in W Tennessee now eh? Nice to see him continue to hit and be healthy. Any chance he could help the Cubs this year in the outfield?

We'll see. He's basically rehabbing after missing most of 3 seasons. He also isn't on the 40-man.

Mark Holliman has been really solid so far this year. He has a 29-12 K-BB ratio, a .191 BAA and a WHIP of 1.18 to go with his 3.20 ERA.
