OK I'm done with 2/3 of our outfield. I'll let you guess which 2/3.

yeah 20 games in & season's over.

Whoever said the season's over? Where did you get that from my statement? I happen to think that the Cubs can contend this year.

I just think 2/3 of our outfield suck.

He definitely said the season's over in that post.

I think I'm going to go post in that "I hate the rolleyes" thread again.

Well, despite their idiot manager, they've played .600 ball for 20 games. Do that for the rest of the year and they make the playoffs.

Dusty lost this game today. If you want to be mad at somebody, be mad at him.

I'm mad a Williamson for precipitating a need for Dusty to make a move! His failures today were the most glaring.

to add to the misery the Cards won today

Pujols hit a game-winning single in the bottom of the 9th with two on after Isringhausen (sp?) gives up a solo home run in the top of the 9th.

Now I remember why I wanted an ignore button. So I don't have to read idiotic comments like the ones you've been spouting for the past 15 pages.

Newsflash: Players lose games. Dusty made an error in the double switch, but players (namely the pen) blew this game.

Dusty played a part, but the bullpen simply didn't hold up today. Especially Williamson. The Marlins took advantage of the walks we gave them, and we didn't take advantage of ours (enough). Dusty made some bad decisions, but he was not the person that lost today's game.

How did he do that? I missed the first 7 innings, so I'm geniunely curious.

There's no doubt that this loss falls on Williamson.

In the top of the 8th he double switched out Jones when he brought in Howry. Jones's replacement Mabry then messed up a fly ball down the line the next hitter.

Ou tof curiousity how was Borowski's velocity?

Topped out at 89 mph. I think, but I may have missed a few pitches. I saw one of his fastballs at 85.

Hey punk, if you don't like what I post, don't read it. It's a pretty simple thing to do. But apparently the simple things escape you.

That's right, he didn't even hit 90.

Yeah, I saw that. You can't blame the game on Dusty only because of that. From the last two innings that I saw, the bullpen lost the game, not Dusty.

Some things to be positive about:

1) Ramirez seems to be getting his stroke back. He hit the ball hard.

2) Matt Murton continues to rock.

3) Guzman pitched decently. He defineately has great stuff. 96 MPH fastball. He'll be even better the next start.

4) Cedeno showing great range at ss once again today. Nice double play in the first in particular.

5) Novoa's looking solid in middle relief.

I think today's game is a very good example of why Pierre hasn't been worth the prospect investment thus far. The blame for the loss, though, goes solely on the 'pen. All of them save Novoa were terrible, and Dusty didn't help matters with the double switch.

I don't know.

Don't kill me but, when I saw JoBo (surprisingly non sweaty and thin) I immediately thought " he's off the juice." Well, that's because the seed of doubt was planted by B&B that maybe he was using a few years ago.

No offense but I don't think Dusty threw the pitches. That was Williamson. Did he make an ill advised double switch? Maybe. But Williamson gave up the runs.

He never broke a sweat and wasn't all wild-eyed like he used to be. I think it's a combo of losing weight and getting off the greenies.

Agreed. I was pleased with Guzman's outing. If he pitched yesterday, that homerun would have just been a long fly ball out. And Novoa looked surprisingly good.

Agreed, I'm not saying we lost the game because of it, but that double switch hurt us pretty badly.
