Yes, Rolen nabbed tryinh to steal.

5 for 18 for Barrett is really bad throwing out runners.

at least 2 of those are on failed hit and runs - basically gimme's.

so he's really around 3 for 16, or around 20%.

And how many other catchers have nabbed guys on busted hit and runs? Should we look at their adjusted thrown out % as well?

I could be wrong on this, but I don't think that's really all that bad. Not good, but closer to "average" than "really bad".

Seems really low to me.

Don't get so defensive. I simply stated a fact.

That's a good point.

Poor Murt is really struggling. I'm convinced that he will turn it around eventually, but I hope its in time before Dusty starts looking for other options...

See if a Cub made the play Pujols just made, he'd break his ankle and be done for the year.

my deepest fear is that Hendry and Baker have given up, and is the reason Gooz is up. A feature start for a possible trade for Kearns???

:pukel:

I wanted JH to bring Guz up even WHEN Lee was here. I wanted to see him get a start over Rusch or Williams. So now we finally get to see him. I don't see how it's giving up trading Williams for (a better) GUZMAN. Honestly.

these ARE the cubs, my friend.

Well, I look at it in relation to how good SB% is. 75 percent is basically the cutoff on whether it's useful or not, so if Barrett is getting stolen on 13/18 times, that is a little less than 75 percent success rate, making it ok. That's just the way I look at it though...

Don't get so defensive. I asked two questions regarding your method of stating these facts.

Right now our only hitter I feel like we can count on every at bat to either get on or make a positive out is Todd Walker who Dusty either sits out or double switches out of the game every day it seems

Cedeno has been pretty good lately too...when Dusty doesn't have him sacrifice.

Is there a defensive version of Hacking Mass? I want to draft Aaron Miles.

Wouldn't a runner on first with 0 outs and the 2-3-4 hitters due up be the perfect time for a SB and not a sec bunt? Just wondering.
