In such a short time span? In the last 4 seasons Bill Mueller slides into a wall to catch a pop up and breaks his knee, Mark Prior collides with Marcus Giles running the basepaths and hurts his shoulder, Eric Karros, has another player run into him at first and try to knock the ball away breaking his arm, Mark Prior gets hit by a comebacker on the mound and suffers a compound fracture, and now D Lee has a collision with Raphael Furcal and breaks two bones in his wrist. All teams have injuries but their usually your normal back strains, groin pulls, sore arms etc. that occur during a season but we've had a lot of freak injuries in a short amount of time its true if not for bad luck we'd have no luck at all.

Yeah Karros did, it might have been a fracture but thats worse than a break, can't remember exactly but Karros was out for quite a while and yes it was cheap and its the reason the Braves got rid of him at the end of that season.

Good points about Choi and the Sosa sneeze. It is weird how many we've had.

I posted this at the end of last season:

Pitchers who missed time due to line drives hitting them in 2005 -

For the other 29 teams put together: One (Roy Halladay)

For the Cubs: Three (Borowski, Fox, Prior)

Did Clement miss a start?

Didn't Clement get nailed in the head with a line drive last year for the Red Sox? Did he not miss any time because of it?

Yes he did get drilled in the head last year and because pitchers only pitch every 5 days I can't remember if had to miss a start or not but he might have.

Nomar blowing out his groin as he attempts to run to 1st base.

Carlos Lee going spikes high on Todd Walker.

Sammy Sosa's boombox mysteriously yet spontaneously combusting.

Neifi Perez and his toothpick legs, healthy as a horse.

I don't get it.

He missed a start, then came back and got rocked, and I think missed another start shortly after.

I believe he only missed one start.

The Karros injury I'm pretty sure was in the regular season, and he did miss games.

The collision you referred to happened in the postseason, and as far as I know, didn't cause him to miss time.

The longest he went midseason without playing was 3 and 4 games, which I believe were due to normal platoon situations, including Simon's hot streak.
