Can Murton, or Jones play first? If so, I say go hard after Miggy. We need another power bat anyway. Wont happen, but if DLee is out for an extended period of time, then I'm worried about the power and RBI production. Aramis is the only legit power hitter in the line up. And we all know his leg issues.

It would cost Z at the minimum.

Not with the price tag he'll be due. He could easily become as expensive as Cabrera, and the Marlins wouldn't want that.

Miggy, I interpreted as Tejada.

Could Mo Vaughn be coerced into a comeback?

I don't know if that was a joke, but I'll take Durazo's bat and D over whatever Vaughn can provide at this point.

Yeah, but what would Tejada have to do with Jones or Murton playing first?

My posts are reaction to this statement: "If so, I say go hard after Miggy."

Sorry for the confusion. I meant Cabrera.

Craig Wilson would totally be available if Casey's spine hadn't fallen off.

So this is all MABRY's fault! I knew he had a secret hidden CARDINALS agenda all along!

All of these trades they are proposing on the radio are ridiculous. Some guy just called in and said to trade JJ and "some minor leaguers" for Sweeney. When Lee comes back he said we just bench Sweeney. Edited by Chocolate Milk

That's crazy. Did he even play baseball at Georgetown?

I meant Sweeney. They started talking about Sweetney right after the Sweeney talk!

Too hard for me to pass up.

Well, KC did want Jones. If that could be done, why not put Lee in RF for the rest of the year if Sweeney is having a good year or move Murton to RF and Sweeney to left. Edited by srbin84

I understand. These things happen.

How about Tony Clark from Arizona? He's cheap in salary (1M), is a switch hitter with good pop. I dont' know about his D, though, but I'd bet it's not worse that Durazio.

And since he's a bench player, it probably wouldn't cost too much.

he has a 2 year deal, though, and can only play first base.

OK, then keep him around as a pinch hitter/spot first baseman. He's better than Durazio and much cheaper than Sweeney.

When Lee comes back, Clark goes to the bench with his 1M salary.

actually, i can't believe i didn't think of this earlier.

why not try to get petagine from the M's?

Um, I think we're overlooking quite possibly the best option out there and he won't cost us anything in terms of players:

The one, the only. . . Ernie Banks.
